Web Developer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

Project Whitecard Digital Inc. is a world leading developer of games and interactive immersive 3D virtual environments, with clients such as the Canadian Space Agency and NASA. Project Whitecard uses leading 3D technologies, including Virtual Reality.

The Web Developer position requires at least an intermediate level of experience.

This minimum 4 month term position requires a knowledgeable front end web developer that also has experience in Drupal 8.

A candidate would be hands-on, coding, using best practices, and collaborating with a small team to deliver a hybrid cloud/VR solution.

The position requires on-site presence in our Winnipeg studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop front end UI
  • Develop, implement, and test APIs
  • Understand software versioning theory (SVN) and agile development
  • Understand application development
  • Write clear quality code for software and applications and perform test reviews
  • Detect and troubleshoot software issues
  • Provide input on software development

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Javascript, HTML, CSS and overall web stack
  • Relational database and cloud storage experience (preferably having worked with Amazon AWS/S3)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • 3+ years of development experience

Unity Developer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

The Unity Developer position requires at least an intermediate level of experience.

The position requires on-site presence in our Winnipeg studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain C# code
  • Develop, implement, and test APIs
  • Work closely with designers to implement gameplay and interactive features and functionality using Unity
  • Create and improve tools as necessary to support specific features
  • Continuously test, debug, profile, analyze, and optimize on applicable VR hardware
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas on all aspects of production and development
  • Participate in daily meetings

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C#
  • Minimum 3 years of experience or at least one released title using Unity 2017 or above (game jam & hobby projects are counted)
  • Strong algorithm knowledge and analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Self-driven and self-motivated
  • Disciplined without needing constant supervision
  • Strong communicator
  • Able to manage time appropriately to meet deadlines
